Description

DOG DAYS LIMITED SALE!

Each of our Mountain Dog Medallion elk antler Mountain Dog Chews are crafted from quite large, dense burrs, and are perfect for most all dogs! Your dog will feel like he or she just Won the Gold when you hand over one of our Mountain Medallions!

We have found that our Mountain Dog Medallions, much like our Center-Cut Split chews, tend to be highly favored by dogs – not surprising, as puppies, seniors and all dogs love ready access to the yummy, nutrient-rich marrow in the core of these burrs. As our antler chews are hand-cut, Mountain Medallions are a safe and satisfying, and highly durable, treat toy. Dogs literally go nuts over them! Note: As these are natural products, some discoloration in the white area of the antler burr, along with the occasional elk hair trapped along the gnarly edges, is normal, and does not affect the integrity of the chew.

Offered on a per-piece basis (that is, Qty 1 = 1 chew).

Average Dimensions: Each a quality elk antler burr, Mountain Medallion will average in diameter from 3 inches to 4 inches, and approximately 1.5 inches to 2 inches thick. Just let us know of any preferences upon checkout, and we'll do our best to accommodate.

NEW ANTLER FLAVOR OPTION! Original vs Hickory-Smoked - Mountain Dog Chews are now available in two varieties, ORIGINAL ANTLER (Our Straight-Up Fresh Antler) or our NEW HICKORY SMOKED (Lightly Smoked with real Hickory wood adding the distinct aroma, flavor and color of natural Hickory Smoke. Our Hickory-Smoked antlers are only made after you order, so please allow us an additional day of handling time to smoke the antlers before shipping your order.  Smoked antlers will cost an additional $7.50 per each antler chew. Unfortunately, we DO NOT offer returns on Hickory-Smoked Antlers.

Every antler chew is naturally unique and will vary, accordingly, in size and shape, weight/density and hue of color. However, all Mountain Dog Chews elk antler chews are sourced only from Grade A+ elk antler – the best one can purchase.

As with all consumable chew toys, please supervise diligently your pet when providing this antler chew. Once this chew has become worn down to a size that could pose a choking and/or swallowing hazard to your pet, please discard responsibly, and replace with a new Mountain Dog Chew!

    Awesome Medallions

Posted by Unknown on 22nd Jun 2017

This was our first try with the Medallions. At first, the dogs were a little hesitant because they were used to the antlers, but it didn't take long for them to catch on. They are a perfect size & are a great challenge even with the marrow. After several days, one of the pooches has managed to make a nice little area on the side that gets right to the fun marrow part. She loves, loves, loves this thing! Ha!! Win, win!! Will be buying these again for sure!!

    Surprisingly irresistible

The only two type of antlers my 25 pound dog doesn't very quickly lose interest are the medallions and moose antlers. She *loves* these!

    Too heavy for my dog

Posted by Kerry on 28th Oct 2016

I purchased the Mountain Medallion for my 20 lb 10 month old labradoodle based on the Antler Chew Sizing Guidelines posted here. While I think these are really high quality and a good value it's almost too good. It is so dense and heavy that my dog can barely pick it up and bring it across the room in his mouth. He's not a heavy chewer and very gentle on his toys and he could barely pick it up in his mouth to chew on it. I kept hearing him drop it on the floor. I was concerned with the weight of it on his teeth. I think it would be better for a larger dog so I ended up giving it to my friend's Lab who's 90 lbs and a heavy chewer.

Mountain Dog Medallion chews are like doggie crack!

Posted by Cheri Sanders on 26th Oct 2016

I have many dogs (2 full-size German Shepherds, 2-five month old German Shepherd pups, 2-elderly pugs, and 1-mini dachshund)..yes I said many. When I first opened the bag i thought the medallions were huge and my dogs wouldn't be able to eat/chew or carry them around. Much to my surprise, even the 9-pound Dachshund picked it up and carried it away to his happy place. They all were quite and happy for a long. No hesitation to order these products again.

    My dogs love these!

Posted by Cindy on 22nd Oct 2016

I am very happy with this product, being the owner of an EB & FB they are infamous chewers. These keep them very happy and they can not swallow them whole as they love to try to do that. Very pleased with this product.

    2 golden retrievers & a chihuahua

Posted by Deb on 9th May 2016

I usually buy whole antlers but, this seemed interesting and based on other reviews I thought I would try a few. I have a 11 year old golden. My son and his girlfriend have a 1 year old golden puppy and a chihuahua puppy. My 11 year old golden licks the medallion like a lollipop, gnaws on the sides and carries it around like it's his prize position. He loves it. My son said both his dogs are loving the medallion too. His golden puppy has gotten most of the marrow out. It's true, all ages, all types of dogs seem to find happiness with these medallions.

Really happy I tried this, I think I like it better than the antler

Posted by Dorian on 15th Feb 2016

I usually buy by 30 lb dog a small antler- which she loves- and devours over a few months- decided to try a medallion since she kept stealing her friends when they had play dates..... what I like about the medallion is that i dont hear that AWFUL loud chewing/ cracking noise when she chews this unlike the antler. Because of the size and shape she cant really get her mouth around it the same way which decrease the noise and my worry about her cracking a tooth. She enjoys the amount of marrow in the medallion. Really happy i tried the medallion, will continue to purchase both. Nice prices. Shipping fairly fast but a little pricey. they charge you $7.99 for a flat rate envelope which only costs $6.80. Go in with a friend, best value.

    The good stuff

Posted by Julia on 12th Dec 2015

My dogs LOVE these because they have the highest marrow-to-shell ratio. For that reason, they are a little less long-lasting than a typical antler, but I'll usually get one for each dog per order, as an extra special treat. Always super high quality!
