Each of our Mountain Dog Medallion elk antler Mountain Dog Chews are crafted from quite large, dense burrs, and are perfect for most all dogs! Your dog will feel like he or she just Won the Gold when you hand over one of our Mountain Medallions!

We have found that our Mountain Dog Medallions, much like our Center-Cut Split chews, tend to be highly favored by dogs – not surprising, as puppies, seniors and all dogs love ready access to the yummy, nutrient-rich marrow in the core of these burrs. As our antler chews are hand-cut, Mountain Medallions are a safe and satisfying, and highly durable, treat toy. Dogs literally go nuts over them! Note: As these are natural products, some discoloration in the white area of the antler burr, along with the occasional elk hair trapped along the gnarly edges, is normal, and does not affect the integrity of the chew.

Offered on a per-piece basis (that is, Qty 1 = 1 chew).

Average Dimensions: Each a quality elk antler burr, Mountain Medallion will average in diameter from 3 inches to 4 inches, and approximately 1.5 inches to 2 inches thick. Just let us know of any preferences upon checkout, and we'll do our best to accommodate.

NEW ANTLER FLAVOR OPTION! Original vs Hickory-Smoked - Mountain Dog Chews are now available in two varieties, ORIGINAL ANTLER (Our Straight-Up Fresh Antler) or our NEW HICKORY SMOKED (Lightly Smoked with real Hickory wood adding the distinct aroma, flavor and color of natural Hickory Smoke. Our Hickory-Smoked antlers are only made after you order, so please allow us an additional day of handling time to smoke the antlers before shipping your order.  Smoked antlers will cost an additional $7.50 per each antler chew. Unfortunately, we DO NOT offer returns on Hickory-Smoked Antlers.

Every antler chew is naturally unique and will vary, accordingly, in size and shape, weight/density and hue of color. However, all Mountain Dog Chews elk antler chews are sourced only from Grade A+ elk antler – the best one can purchase.

As with all consumable chew toys, please supervise diligently your pet when providing this antler chew. Once this chew has become worn down to a size that could pose a choking and/or swallowing hazard to your pet, please discard responsibly, and replace with a new Mountain Dog Chew!

  1. 2 golden retrievers & a chihuahua 5 Star Review

Posted by on 9th May 2016

I usually buy whole antlers but, this seemed interesting and based on other reviews I thought I would try a few. I have a 11 year old golden. My son and his girlfriend have a 1 year old golden puppy and a chihuahua puppy. My 11 year old golden licks the medallion like a lollipop, gnaws on the sides and carries it around like it's his prize position. He loves it. My son said both his dogs are loving the medallion too. His golden puppy has gotten most of the marrow out. It's true, all ages, all types of dogs seem to find happiness with these medallions.

  2. Really happy I tried this, I think I like it better than the antler 5 Star Review

I usually buy by 30 lb dog a small antler- which she loves- and devours over a few months- decided to try a medallion since she kept stealing her friends when they had play dates..... what I like about the medallion is that i dont hear that AWFUL loud chewing/ cracking noise when she chews this unlike the antler. Because of the size and shape she cant really get her mouth around it the same way which decrease the noise and my worry about her cracking a tooth. She enjoys the amount of marrow in the medallion. Really happy i tried the medallion, will continue to purchase both. Nice prices. Shipping fairly fast but a little pricey. they charge you $7.99 for a flat rate envelope which only costs $6.80. Go in with a friend, best value.

  3. The good stuff 5 Star Review

My dogs LOVE these because they have the highest marrow-to-shell ratio. For that reason, they are a little less long-lasting than a typical antler, but I'll usually get one for each dog per order, as an extra special treat. Always super high quality!

  4. A New Favorite 5 Star Review

  5. Three paws up 5 Star Review

All three of my dogs loved these (two German Shepherds and a Husky). I was unsure about the shape but they found them interesting and yummy. I will order again!

  6. Dog's love these 5 Star Review

These medallions are huge and my 3 larges dogs really enjoy these along with the medium size regular antlers. These last and last. I have been ordering from Mountain Dog for the past 2 years and love the great service and products we receive.

  7. Glad I decided to try these! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 2nd Aug 2014

We have 2 very strong-chewing Boston Terriers who LOVE their antlers. So I decided to give the medallions a try this time and I'm very glad I did! They really seem to like the size, the change in shape from what they're used to with the antlers, the 'nubbies' to gnaw on...everything! I bought 2 so they could each have one, but in true sibling fashion, they always fight over what the other one has!

  8. My dog loves this! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 15th May 2014

My dog really seems to enjoy this, he loves his big antler a little more, but when he needs a change, he goes to this. Its the perfect size for him to pick up and walk around chomping on.

  9. Unique spot in our chew rotation 4 Star Review

Posted by on 8th Apr 2014

I bought (2) orders of these guys. I requested that one order consist of one larger medallion, and that the second order consists of two smaller ones. I was skeptical of what influence the request for different sizes would be, but they delivered! One satisfyingly large medallion, and two smaller ones.

    Onto the the actual medallions:
-Great quality, just like every other Mountain Dog Chew I've bought
    -Instant interest by the pup
-Different shape and texture is interesting adds variety to whatever the dog already has

For a 16 month GSD/Dane, it seems like he chooses this one when he doesn't feel like using his paws to hold something to chew. He props it on his bed and starts chewing, or he rests his head on a pillow with the medallion in his mouth(kind of looks like he's smoking a cigar). He likes these because even the big ones are small enough to pop in his mouth and gnaw on(big enough, there's no risk of choking).

The smaller medallions were for the maltese mixes, but they didn't seem to take much interest. Maybe it's the shape, maybe the different texture since it's the base of the antler, I have no idea.

They're not favorites at my house, but they spice things up a bit and last just as well as the rest of the antler.

Wow this the best chew my Frenchie has ever had. It keeps her busy and provides her with some great benefits.

  11. A tenacious chewer's delight! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 21st Oct 2013

I searched high and low for a long lasting chew bone or toy for our 7 month old German Shepherd dog Dale. He blew through traditional bones and chews in less than an hour normally. When we first gave these to him, he treated them as a toy, sliding them around our tile floors like hockey pucks! But when he finally found out that he could actually CHEW on them for hours on end, he was excited and so were we! Keeps him busy on mornings we want to sleep in (weekends) My husband soaked one in hot water for a couple hours to soften the center marrow and made it so much easier to get at, but he likes it soft OR hard. Thanks you guys for a great product!

  12. Also a toy!! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 12th Oct 2013

I bought these along with the mammoth to see how they were. What I found was that he likes to chew them, although not as much as the mammoth, but we can play with them because they slide across the floor easily. This makes a great game of keep away!! Good fun for the grand pit!
