Mountain Dog Love

We would love (no pun intended...) to hear from YOU!

Joe Ernst

I’ve used Mountain Dog Chews one time previously. I again ordered the x-large ELK bones (whole v. Cut in half). Best quality and size. I have a 95 pound Golden Retriever female and she just loves them. 4 and a half years old and NO teeth cleaning at the Vet because of these bones. I ordered this past Friday and got an email that the bones were shipped the same day that I ordered. Received the bones on Monday, in the mail. Just exceptional service. Mountain Dog Chews business model needs to be examined by other businesses to see how to run a first class business in every respect. These ELK bones are absolutely superior to Petsmart and Petco and are actually cheaper. I’m actually afraid that this fine business will go away if they don’t have enough customers. Please order from these folks, they deserve a good run!

I treat my dogs according to philosophies that guide my own choices...organic, unprocessed, cruelty-free AND best quality. One can't fit that better or get more green than this...single ingredient premium dog treats by a values-based American small business?? YES please! Your Antler Chews are the best (and my crazy pups agree!). Best wishes!

Actually, your seeming delight at sharing your very sound knowledge is one of the reasons I initially sought out Mountain Dog Chews. I stumbled upon your advice on a blog (and I have no idea which one) and was very impressed with your depth of knowledge and attention to detail. And when I visited your site, I became all the more intrigued. Your site reflects passion for your product and the welfare of dogs; and there again was that depth and detail. Those are the kinds of things I look for. Again, thank you!

While I've had success in getting my foster weims trained and their anxiety manageable, I was still spending a ton of cash weekly buying things for them to chew on. We've tried hooves and other homemade treats for them to chew on. Someone on my facebook page saw my love for fostering and training and told me to check for Antlers. I'm always leery when trying new things for my pups. I have seen a few at the Petsmart where I am a dog trainer now, but there really wasn't enough information on them. I started searching for them online then trying to find out more information and even calling a few places. No one could seem to give me the 101 about them. Which ones are good for your dog, which ones to stay away from etc... I came across your website and read Antlers for Dogs 101 and I was so happy that finally I found some great information and feel now that I can buy with confidence. My pups (two weims and a chihuahua--he's my weim in training) and my foster boys are my life. I love each and everyone of them that come through my door and I would never want to give them anything that would harm them. I know people love feed back and wonder if they made a difference in someone's life. Well you have and what I learned about Antlers will be passed on to so many people. I have people asking me all the time what can they give their dogs that will last for more than a minute. I always tell pet parents in my training classes what works on my pups from my experience. You have now added a new customer who will be promoting your company every chance I get.

Yes, my chocolate Lab is officially a Mountain Dog! He's a voracious chewer, but each of the four antler chews I ordered has kept him busy! :) We will be regular customers and fans for sure!

As a dietician (two-legged clients only!), a passionate and active lover of the great outdoors, and a proud momma to two Brittanys and my big lovable Katrina rescue mutt, I've been a believer for 18 months (when products began cropping up) in the potential of antler chews, generally, to become widely adopted and recognized as a naturally perfect dog product among both the growing masses of informed whole-dog purists as well as active dog lovers who enjoy time spent in outdoor pursuits with their pets (hiking, camping, hunting, fishing). In my opinion, Mountain Dog Chews epitomizes the best of both interests... Definitely a case of "you get what you pay for." Keep up the good work, Mountain Dog crew!

My beagle loves your antler chews! They have been long lasting (of course, tearing it away from her at night is never an easy feat!). They are a bit more expensive than other products we've tried, but the size and quality of your antler chews speaks for itself – and we strongly support what Mountain Dog Chews stands for. Thank you for a great product and company.

Over the years, I have purchased all sorts of dog chews: rawhide, beef pizzles/bullysticks and every conceivable organ byproduct imaginable. Foul, stinky, slimy messes, the lot of them. Not to mention that nearly every product is an import. I decided to give an elk antler chew from Mountain Dog Chews a try, and I am so glad I did. Stella, my rescue “pointer mix” and wingshooting companion, thoroughly enjoyed the chew. Finally a product that exceeds my expectations, and a company with its head in the right game. I will be placing a larger order today, FYI.

Kudos on a truly neat company. I think your "every dog's a Mountain Dog" branding is cute and catchy (I'm a trail nut!), and I am happy to put you among the small category of pet and outdoor rec. companies that prioritize quality of product and service, environmental stewardship, social consciousness and U.S.-sourcing over blind profit. You've got some new "Mountain Dog Chews" fans in 'Carolina. ;)
